मई में उत्तराखंड में ओमिक्रॉन के वैरिएंट एक्सई के मामले तेजी से सामने आ सकते हैं। एक्सई वैरिएंट के संक्रमण की दर ओमिक्रॉन से दोगुनी है। अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान (एम्स) ऋषिकेश ने जून से जुलाई के बीच संक्रमण के चरम काल में पहुंचने की आशंका जताई है।
देश में कोरोना के मामले फिर बढ़ रहे हैं। एम्स ऋषिकेश के सोशल आउटरीच सेल के नोडल अधिकारी डॉ. संतोष कुमार ने बताया कि ओमिक्रॉन का नया वैरिएंट एक्सई भी अब देश में दस्तक दे चुका है। यह ओमिक्रॉन का ही सबम्यूटेंट है। यही कारण है कि इसकी संक्रमण दर ओमिक्रॉन से दोगुनी है।
इससे तय है कि देशभर में एक्सई वैरिएंट के संक्रमण के मामले तेजी से बढ़ेंगे। मई के पहले से दूसरे सप्ताह के बीच उत्तराखंड में एक्सई वैरिएंट के मामले सामने आ सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि संक्रमण की दर को देखते हुए जून से जुलाई के बीच इसके चरम पर पहुंचने की आशंका है। हालांकि, ओमिक्रॉन की तरह ही एक्सई वैरिएंट के गंभीर परिणाम सामने आने की संभावना बेहद कम है।
टीकाकरण होने से लोगों में हर्ड इम्यूनिटी भी बनी:-
उन्होंने बताया कि उत्तराखंड समेत पूरे देश में तेजी से कोरोनारोधी टीकाकरण होने से लोगों में हर्ड इम्यूनिटी भी बनी है, इसलिए अधिकांश लोगों में संक्रमित होने के बाद सर्दी जुकाम जैसे लक्षण ही नजर आएंगे, लेकिन गंभीर रूप से बीमार और कमजोर प्रतिरोधक क्षमता वाले लोगों को संक्रमण होने का खतरा बना रहता है, इसलिए गंभीर बीमारों, कमजोर प्रतिरोधक क्षमता वाले लोगों और बच्चों को संक्रमण से बचाने के लिए को भी कोरोना सुरक्षा नियमों का पालन करना बहुत जरूरी है।
