प्रदेश में राज्यसभा चुनाव की अधिसूचना जारी हो गई है। मंगलवार से 31 मई तक चुनाव के लिए नामांकन किया जा सकेगा। राज्यसभा सांसद प्रदीप टम्टा का कार्यकाल चार जुलाई को पूरा होने के चलते प्रदेश में एक राज्यसभा सीट खाली हो रही है। इस सीट पर मतदान के लिए मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी सौजन्या ने अधिसूचना जारी कर दी है।
इसके तहत 31 मई तक नामांकन हो सकेंगे। एक जून को नामांकनों की जांच होगी। तीन जून को नाम वापसी होगी। इसके बाद 10 जून को सुबह नौ बजे से शाम चार बजे तक मतदान होगा और इसी दिन शाम पांच बजे से मतगणना होगी। 13 जून तक मतदान की प्रक्रिया पूरी कर ली जाएगी।
सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेशानुसार चुनाव लड़ने वाले उम्मीदवारों को अपने आपराधिक पूर्ववृत्ति (अगर कोई हो) की सूचना इलेक्ट्रॉनिक या प्रिंट मीडिया में तीन बार प्रकाशित करनी होगी। इसके लिए दिन निर्धारित हैं।
