इस दौरान सेना के जवानों ने देशभक्ति के गीत प्रस्तुत किए। रक्षा मंत्री ने सेना के जवानों के साथ बातचीत भी की। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी, विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ऋतु खंडूड़ी, थल सेना प्रमुख जनरल मनोज पांडे समेत कई वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।

बुधवार को रक्षा मंत्री दशहरा के पावन पर्व पर शस्त्र पूजन में शामिल होंगे। उनका चमोली जिले के माणा में चीन सीमा पर सेना की रताकोण पोस्ट और औली में दशहरा मनाने का कार्यक्रम का है। पर यह सब मौसम पर निर्भर करेगा। यदि मौसम अनुकूल नहीं रहा तो वह दून के बीरपुर में शस्त्र पूजन में शामिल होंगे। वह बदरीनाथ भी जा सकते हैं।
