मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने उत्तराखंड में एक हजार नए पदों पर भर्ती का एलान किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 2023 में पुलिस कांस्टेबल के एक हजार पदों पर नई भर्ती होगी। जिन 1521 पुलिस कांस्टेबल की भर्ती प्रक्रिया गतिमान है, उनकी भर्ती पूर्ण होने तक 1521 पीआरडी जवान अस्थायी सेवा देंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने यह घोषणा पुलिस मुख्यालय में ‘उत्तराखंड पुलिस मंथन चुनौतियां एवं समाधान’ विषय पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम के उद्घाटन पर की। उन्होंने कहा कि तेजी से बढ़ रहे साइबर अपराध को देखते हुए अल्मोड़ा व श्रीनगर महिला थाने में साइबर थाने खोले जाएंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अधिकारी जनता का फोन जरूर उठाएं। अधिकारी इसको अपनी आदत में शामिल करें। यदि कोई अधिकारी बैठक में व्यस्त है और किसी फोन आ रहा है तो बाद में उक्त नंबर पर फोन कर जानकारी जरूर लें।
पुलिस को स्मार्ट व सशक्त बनाने के लिए फिटनेस पर विशेष ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता: मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड पुलिस को स्मार्ट एवं सशक्त बनाने के लिए फिटनेस पर विशेष ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई कि उत्तराखंड पुलिस के इस चार दिवसीय मंथन में राज्य में कानून और व्यवस्था को और मजबूत बनाने व जन सरोकारों से जुड़े मामलों पर भी मंथन होगा।
इससे आमजन के साथ पुलिस को बेहतर समन्वय बनाने में भी मदद मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि पुलिस के आधुनिकीकरण के लिए आधुनिक तकनीक पर अधिक ध्यान दिया जाएगा। कानून का पालन करने वालों के साथ पुलिस ‘मित्र पुलिस’ की तरह ही व्यवहार करेगी। यदि कोई कानून व्यवस्था बिगाड़ने का प्रयास करता है तो उस पर सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

अपराधियों को सख्त सजा दिलवाना सरकार के लिए चुनौती: मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि वनंतरा रिसार्ट प्रकरण में उच्च न्यायालय ने एसआइटी की जांच को सही ठहराया है। उन्होंने कहा कि हम न्यायालय के निर्णय का स्वागत करते हैं। सरकार के सामने बड़ी चुनौती है कि दोषियों को सख्त से सख्त सजा मिले। एसआइटी की ओर से मजबूत चार्जशीट कोर्ट में पेश की गई है। सरकार लगातार केस की निगरानी कर रही है।
