रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह चीन सीमा पर सेना के जवानों के साथ दशहरा मनाने उत्तराखंड पहुंचे हैं। बुधवार को वह चमोली के औली सैन्य स्टेशन पहुंचे और यहां जवानों के साथ शस्त्र पूजन किया। इसके बाद वह बदरीनाथ धाम पहुंचे और भगवान बदरीश की पूजा-अर्चना कर देश की विकास और उन्नति का आशीर्वाद मांगा।
इससे पहले शस्त्र पूजन के बाद राजनाथ सिंह ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड दुनिया में एक मात्र ऐसा देश है जहां शस्त्रों की पूजा की जाता है।इस दौरान उन्होंने कहा कि हमें विश्वास है कि हमारा देश हमारे सशस्त्र बलों के हाथों में सुरक्षित है। हमारे सशस्त्र बलों और अर्धसैनिक बलों के जवान हमारे देश का गौरव हैं।

जिसके बाद वह सेना के एमआइ हेलीकाप्टर से गढ़ी कैंट स्थित जीटीसी हेलीपैड पहुंचे। यहां सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री गणेश जोशी, हरिद्वार सांसद डा. रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक, राज्यसभा सदस्य नरेश बंसल, कैंट विधायक सविता कपूर व अन्य भाजपा नेताओं ने उनका स्वागत किया।
रात को रक्षा मंत्री गढ़ी कैंट में आयोजित ‘बड़ा खाना’ में शामिल हुए। इस दौरान सेना के जवानों ने देशभक्ति के गीत प्रस्तुत किए। रक्षा मंत्री ने सेना के जवानों के साथ बातचीत भी की। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी, विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ऋतु खंडूड़ी, थल सेना प्रमुख जनरल मनोज पांडे समेत कई वरिष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
